ORTHOPAEDIC MANUAL THERAPY

We treat chronic headaches and migraine, also called cervicogenic headaches, acute and chronic sinusitis, post-surgical rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, chest physiotherapy, sputum induction in adults, nebulised sputum induction in children and suctioning in babies, rehabilitation and mobilisation for the elderly. Our treatments also include the following:

Back & Neck Pain

Acute and chronic back pain can be debilitating. We aim to normalise your pain and improve your muscle strength to avoid any future episodes.

Chronic Headaches

Headaches of acute or chronic nature can often originate from a cervicogenic cause. A tight/stiff neck can cause headaches. We can diagnose the cause of the headache and decrease your headaches by treating the muscles and joints of the neck.

Geriatric Physio

Many elderly people struggle with chronic pain, stiffness, balance and mobility trouble, which can lead to falls and serious injury. We can help with all of these symptoms by doing rehabilitation and mobility work to prevent these problems and manage chronic pain.

Chest Physio for Adults & Pediatrics

Bronchitis and pneumonia can cause prolonged phlegm production and coughing. We use percussion and other techniques to help mobilise the phlegm and decrease persistent coughing.

Neuro Physio

Strokes can cause severe mobility issues. With rehabilitation, we can help with stiffness and mobility to restore some of the functionality lost with the stroke.

Sports Injuries

We can diagnose and treat achilles tendinopathy, ACL and meniscal tears, shoulder injuries and other sporting injuries. We understand the importance of returning to sport as quickly as possible.

Post Surgical Rehab

Rehabilitation is often necessary after surgery and should begin as soon as possible after you leave the hospital. Post Surgical Rehabilitation will assist you in regaining your strength, function and flexibility to help you get back on your feet, while also reducing pain and strengthening weak muscles.

Areas of surgeries that most commonly require post-op-care are: Elbow, hip, calf, knee, shoulder and spine. We will create a rehabilitation program specific to your requirements that will boost recovery time.

Sports Massage

Our trained physiotherapist will assess and work over problem areas and will help loosen tight bands and trigger points that can occur because of overuse, weak posture, sport injuries and stress. We use various techniques such as deep tissue massage, remedial sports massage, trigger point therapy, and stretching. Some of the benefits include reduction in injury, improved range of motion, performance improvements, boosting of circulatory immune systems, muscle tone and skin quality.
