Do I need a referral?

No. A referral is not necessary to see a physiotherapist. We are direct access practitioners.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a referral letter if you have one as well as any reports, X-rays or scans relevant to your condition or injury.

What should I wear?

Any comfortable clothing.

Does my private health care insurance cover physiotherapy?

Our rates are a little more than the registered medical aid rates. There maybe a small shortfall from your medical aid.

How can I make an appointment?

You could send us an email at info@seapointphysio.co.za or give us a call during office ours at 072 234 0825 or send a WhatsApp message on +27 72 234 0825 Appointments are 45 minutes long and the price is R750 per visit. Follow-up consultations are charged at the same rate. Sports Massages are charged at R750 for a 45 minute appointment. Strapping, if required, is an additional R50-R90 depending on size. Home visits are charged at R950 per visit for a 45 minute consultation.

How long does an appointment last and how many will I need?

A consultation lasts 45 minutes and costs R800. A home visit costs R950 per 45 minute visit.

What should I expect on my first visit?

On the first visit we will review your condition or injury and develop a treatment plan. You will be asked a few questions about your existing injury and health history. A qualified physio will then examine the injury and begin treatment.

When should I see a physiotherapist?

There are many instances when one should consult a physiotherapist including but not limited to: If you sustained an injury, If you have bruising or swelling, For joint stiffness, If you require advice on flexibility, fitness or strength, Injury prevention, Sports related injuries, Always consult a professional physiotherapist rather than going it alone and trying to treat it yourself

Do we do Sports Massage if there is not a specific injury?

Yes. It is always beneficial as a prevention tool for future injuries.

What techniques are used?

Dry needling, Electrotherapy, Therapeutic massage, Joint mobilization, Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation exercises, Kinesio taping, etc.

What does physiotherapy cost?

A consultation lasts 45 minutes and costs R800. A home visit costs R950 per 45 minute visit.

Cancellation policy

Appointments not cancelled at least two hours before the appointment will be charged for.

Monday: 08:30-13:00 Tuesday: 08:30-13:00 Wednesday: 08:30-13:00 Friday: 08:30-13:00. Home visits may take place outside of these hours.
